The Importance of Being Different

The Importance of Being Different

I’ve never really worried about being different.
In fact, I’ve always gone out of my way to be different.

Long hair, wacky clothes, being louder than life – that’s just me. I’ve always enjoyed standing out instead of blending in. But over the years I’ve realised something important:

A lot of people do worry about it.

So many times people have said to me,
“I wish I could wear that.”
“I wish I could be that confident.”
“I wish I could just be myself like you.”

And I always tell them the same thing:

👉 You can.

No one is stopping you. And honestly?
No one cares as much as you think they do.

If someone has a problem with how you look, how you dress, or how you live your life – that’s their problem, not yours. Their discomfort doesn’t need to become your cage.

I go about my day really happy being different.
It feels natural. It feels free. It feels like breathing.

And if you’re reading this thinking about making that leap – wearing what you want, talking how you want, being who you really are – just do it.

No big announcement.
No permission slip.
Just step into it.

Who wants to fit in anyway?

The world is already full of people trying to be the same.
Be the one who chooses to be YOU.
